The Survey is a guide to costume programs both at the undergraduate and graduate levels. In the fall of 2003, the Survey added its first foreign University. Efforts continue to be made to expand this coverage.
The Universities and Colleges provided the information in the Survey in response to a questionnaire. The date of the last revision of the information is noted for each entry. The Survey has a very high percentage of schools reporting in the last year. In 2002, Gordon Ferguson, a computer consultant, created a database that manages the Survey, controlling the format and making editing easier. He also designed the layout of the pages, giving the Survey its new look.
The Survey is edited once a year in the fall. The last revision was made fall, 2007.
