The Barbizon Lighting Company Jonathan Resnick Lighting Design Award recognizes an exceptional lighting designer who is a current student (graduate or undergraduate) or an early career professional (within two years of graduation).
This award was established in 1997 by USITT Contributing Member Barbizon Lighting Company, in the memory of founders Sam Resnick and Sid Bloom and second generation owner Jonathan Resnick.
Winners of this award receive $1,000 and Conference registration for USITT's Annual Conference & Stage Expo. Awards are presented at USITT's Annual Conference & Stage Expo.
The Barbizon Lighting Company with offices across the United States, and an office in the United Kingdom, is a leading supplier and integrator of equipment, expendables, systems, and rigging for entertainment and architectural lighting founded in 1947.
