The Zelma H. Weisfeld Costume Design & Technology Award recognizes an exceptional costume artist who is a current student (graduate or undergraduate) or an early career professional (within two years of graduation).
This award was established in 1997 by Zelma H. Weisfeld, USITT Fellow, Costume Designer/Historian, and Consultant. Candidates for the Zelma H. Weisfeld Award in Costume Design must display a strong design aesthetic competency in a variety of areas. The successful entrant will demonstrate clear execution regarding artistic and technical choices, process, and product.
Winners of this award receive $2,000 and Conference registration for USITT's Annual Conference & Stage Expo. Awards are presented at USITT's Annual Conference & Stage Expo.
