Three days of interactive training with a collective of our industry's illustrious trainers and companies is available at NO COST to you through USITT Training Ground! USITT Training Ground is proudly brought to you by long-time USITT Member Cirque du Soleil.
Those who specialize in audio, lighting, automation, projector maintenance, wardrobe, or stage management will get up close and personal with entertainment experts from Cirque du Soleil, TAIT, Meyer Sound, Christie Digital, and ROBE Lighting. Your three days of training will take place May 12-14, 2025, in Las Vegas — home of Cirque du Soleil’s Resident Show Division.

This training is open to junior and senior college and university students, and recent college and university graduates. There is a strictly limited number of persons who can be accepted into this program. To apply to participate in this cohort, make certain you meet the requirements outlined below.
Deadline to apply: Thursday, Jan. 30, 2025. Applications submitted after 8:00 a.m. EST may not be accepted.
Application Necessities:
- Select your two areas of interest from the following list: Audio, Automation, Lighting, Video Media Server Programming*, Projection*, Stage Management, and Wardrobe.

- Written response to the prompt "Why should you be chosen for this Intensive Training Opportunity?"
- Written response to the prompt "What are your special skills or qualifications?"
*Up to eight applicants may be selected for the projector maintenance area of interest; with four to be allocated to Video Media Server Programming, and four to projector maintenance.
Location and Cost: There is no charge to apply nor tuition to participate if you are selected. While there is no cost to apply, you are required to have an individual USITT Membership (any level). Those selected agree to provide their own transportation to the training city, Las Vegas, home of Cirque du Soleil's Resident Show Division. If selected, you will be responsible for the cost of lodging. Single hotel rooms will cost $129 per person per night or approximately $150 after taxes and fees. If you plan to share a room in a double occupancy, the cost will average $75 per person per night. These rates do not include exact tax. Applications for scholarships to assist with transportation and housing costs may be available.
