Summary

The Assistant Director of Ticketing and Patron Services is a key leadership position for the Wisconsin Union Theater (WUT). This role is responsible for helping achieve financial and customer service objectives and oversees the ticketing and patron services for arts events on campus ("Campus Arts Ticketing"). This position will create and implement new ticket sales strategies that increase the profitability of WUT as well as enhance ticketing services and event experiences for our patrons. This role is responsible for rigorous data analysis and insight development and applying those insights to our seasonal programming, marketing plans, financial planning processes, and Front-of-House operations. This position will work closely with the Director of WUT and the Assistant Director of Theater Event Operations on setting ticket pricing, revenue goals, and budget forecasts. In addition, this role will ensure that Campus Arts Ticketing is evolving and operating to best meet the box office and patron services needs for all arts events on campus. This role will spearhead the relationship with the ticketing software company and ensure the organization is optimizing the functionality of that software. This position ensures that all operations comply with the University's cash and credit card handling policies.

This position reports directly to the Wisconsin Union Theater Director and supervises the Box Office Manager, the Arts Ticketing Website Administrator, plus indirect oversight of approximately 25 part-time staff who comprise box office and front-of-house operations.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in overseeing box office operations, ticket sales optimization, data analysis, strategic planning, exceptional leadership skills, fiscal management skills, client management skills, including conflict resolution, and a deep understanding of the live performing arts and entertainment industry.
