Florida State University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor, 9 Month - Scenic Design (School of Theatre) beginning August 2025. We seek a dynamic and visionary artist-scholar to develop our MFA Scenic Design program, mentor students, and engage in creative and research activities that enhance the School of Theatre’s reputation. Candidates will develop and teach courses in scenic design, including introductory and advanced scenic design, production design, and related topics. In addition, candidates must maintain an active agenda of creative work and/or research, participate on department and university committees, and collaborate with faculty and staff across the institution on interdisciplinary projects and initiatives. Ideal candidates will have three years of successful university teaching experience and a demonstrated commitment to mentoring students.
