The Performing Arts Department (PAD) at Washington University in St. Louis is seeking a full-time (37.5 hours per week, 9 months a year) Costume Shop Supervisor. This position oversees the costume shop and stock, supervising and informally teaching 6-10 work-study students, ensuring the timely execution of all costume designs for four drama productions and three dance concerts.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and three years of professional costume construction experience; Or equivalent education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Master of Arts or Master of Fine Arts in Costume Design and/or Technology. One year of costume shop management experience. Expert-level machine and hand sewing, pattern drafting, draping, dyeing. Willingness to work closely with others and maintain a positive work environment, ability to multitask, create organized paperwork. Manage and instruct students of varying skill levels. Willing and able to collaborate with designers.
