Stagedoor Manor is searching for a COSTUME SHOP TEAM LEADER for their Summer program which fuses a summer stock experience with theatrical training for young actors in a summer camp environment. Successful candidate will work with the Administration, Production Manager, other Tech Team Leaders, and the Assistant Costume Team Leader. The management & supervision of a costume shop, 7 designers & 1 builder, in the creation of costumes for the 40 productions each summer. The costume shop was renovated in 2019 and is 7500+ square feet with 8 individual designer workstations, cutting tables, washers & dryers, 6 curtained fitting rooms, a TL office space and storage for 49 years of costumes, fabrics, shoes, accessories, etc.
Residency from June thru August , with responsibilities including…
• Input into hiring & show selection.
• Coordinate opening/closing of shop.
• Manage extensive inventory & purchase shop supplies.
• Supervision of costume staff.
• Budgeting.
• Attend daily Tech Team Leader roundtable meetings.
• Coordinate & supervise strikes.
