communities to ensure a vibrant dialog among practitioners, educators, and students.


About the position:


The Education and Training Coordinator will provide support to our ongoing programs. This role will be responsible for
communicating with participants and assisting with developing the most effective programs. The role combines a strong
attention to detail with an ability to multi-task and work under pressure.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:  

  •  Reinforce the Education & Training department’s growth efforts ongoing
  •  Support the build of non-conference events (virtual and live) as designated, following department procedures
  •  Assist Programming Team on National Conference
  •  Provide service and support to online learning platforms
  • Other duties as assigned by Director, Education and Training
Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  •  Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years of relevant experience
  •  Knowledge of live events and familiarization with event management software a plus
  •  Effective oral and written communication skills with knowledge of correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation
  •  Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Power Point; ability to operate basic office   equipment such as a copy machine, printer, scanner, and computer; proficient with internet research
  •  Ability to operate development, design, project management, manufacturing, customer management, and database  software
  •  Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  •  Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
  •  Excellent organizational skills with an eye for details
  •  Demonstrate an intermediate level of math skills
  •  Demonstrate a high level of reasoning ability/ the ability to operate independently
  •  Ability to work and maintain patience with diversified individuals of various backgrounds and professional   competencies
  •  Ability to maintain confidentiality

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this position begins at $42,000. Compensation also includes the USITT benefits package which
includes paid vacation, sick leave and holidays, and employer contributions to medical, dental and retirement plans.


Location and Work Hours


The position is remote however, you may elect to work from USITT’s National Office in Liverpool, NY. Remote employees
will work 40 hours per week in synchrony with the set schedule of the National Office (Eastern Time), regardless of actual
location. The actual work schedule will be determined by your supervisor, but may include the possibility of occasional
travel, primarily to the National Office for onboarding training and staff meetings. Additionally, you may be asked to assist
onsite staff at the Annual Conference & Stage Expo, held for one week in March at locations throughout the U.S. Such
assignment will include mandatory overtime for the week. All business travel and accommodations will be provided.
