Performs or oversees all work necessary to execute and maintain lighting, sound, and projection designs for all mainstage and special events for the Department of Theater and Dance. This position will also support Department of Music performances as needed.
Minimum: BA/BFA or HS diploma/equivalent + six years related experience. MFA preferred.
1. Knowledge of standard and current practices in lighting, sound, and projection design
2. Ability to read and interpret a lighting plot
3. Ability to install and operate necessary instruments for lighting, sound, and projections
4. Ability to instruct students in proper techniques for installation and strike
5. Excellent skills in collaboration and communication
6. Facility with standard office productivity software (MS Office, Adobe, etc.); ability to quickly learn new technologies
