The Lighting Technician for Event & Conference Services (ECS) is
focused on event execution for a variety of campus events and is
the main point of contact for Event Lighting Design for the
events that ECS executes.
The Lighting Technician will be responsible for the lighting
design and engineering for numerous university events,
including but not limited to Student Culture Shows, University
Meetings & Presentations, External Conferences, and more.
The Lighting Technician will assist in evaluating current
inventory and make recommendations for future maintenance,
replacement, and expansion.
The Lighting Technician will assist in operating non-lighting A/V
technology such as sound or video to lead students executing
various campus events.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Technology or related field.
One year in the operation and maintenance of audio-visual or multimedia equipment.
A valid Maryland drivers license is required as well as the ability to drive a large cargo van and/or 16ft box truck.
