The University of Rochester International Theatre Program seeks an experienced, resourceful Production Manager to oversee its annual production activities (4-6 productions in 2 venues) and to support its vision. Faculty position (non-tenure track; paid over 12-month, actively reports for work from August 1 through May; renewable). Seeking an outstanding communicator, manager, and collaborator; proactive, flexible, detail-oriented; an excellent problem solver with experience/expertise in at least one production specialty (lighting, sound, stage-management, projections, etc.). PM teaches 2 courses/semester; oversees the realization of all productions; plans and maintains production schedules; develops and manages production budgets, technical inventories, labor resources, and the Program’s facilities; mentors and inspires students; is the central clearing house for production-related communication; oversees all production departments. Works with TD and others to troubleshoot designs, source materials, hire additional staff (as needed), and collaborates with a changing roster of professional guest artists. Candidate should work well under pressure, able to work non-traditional hours as needed, and multitask effectively.
