Stagecraft Industries is hiring a Stage Rigging Technician based out of Portland Oregon. Stagecraft is a leader in our industry with 60 plus years of experience in the theatrical stage rigging field. We are a specialty subcontractor working in performing arts spaces as a manufacturer, installer and integrator of rigging and other theatrical systems. Stagecraft is looking for candidates who are driven and motivated to become a leader. Our Field Staff can travel for multiple weeks during a single month and are committed to providing a high level of service to both internal and external customers.
Qualified Applicants will have:
3+ years of construction trade and or active job site experience.
Has a valid driver’s license and clean record.
Electrical background including basic trouble shooting, wiring, and familiarity with motor control are desired but not required.
High School Diploma/GED.
Comfortable with working from heights (ladders, scaffolding, lifts etc).
Ability to travel. This is a requirement.
Ability to effectively read and use a tape measure (and other digital measuring devices) and use basic hand and power tools.
Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
Work as part of a team using verbal and written communication.
Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
Can stand, stoop, bend, push, and pull for an 8-hour + shift.
Great work ethic and teamwork skills.

JOB DETAILS:
Shop Location: Portland, OR
Shift: Day/Full-time.
Pay: $20/hour to start (DOE). This basic rate covers non-prevailing wage jobs, travel and shop work. It is important to note this position also makes multi-state prevailing wage rates. Annual incomes vary from 60k – 80K annually.
Per diem and travel costs covered by Stagecraft.
