Summary

Roundabout Theatre Company, one of the nation’s largest not-for-profit theatres, seeks dynamic
professional theatre artists to join a vibrant roster of collaborative teaching artists. We are specifically in need of teaching artists who have technical theatre skills and/or are willing to travel to Staten Island.

Roundabout Theatre Company Teaching Artists develop curriculum and facilitate sessions for various
populations including students in grades 6–12, educators, families, audiences, and other groups.
Work is primarily distributed through in-school residencies, on-site workshops, community spaces, and
audience engagement events. Programming occurs across NYC's 5 boroughs. Roundabout Teaching
Artists sometimes teach their craft, but more frequently use their craft as a vehicle to teach leadership
skills, develop social emotional competencies, build community, or connect to the content of another
academic subject.

Requirements

• Professional skills, training, or experience in one or more technical theatrical disciplines
• Willingness to travel to the outer boroughs, including Staten Island
• Experience or interest in teaching diverse populations
• A commitment to upholding Roundabout’s core values
• Availability for assignments September 2025 through August 2026
• A commitment to paid training sessions (see dates below)
• Flexibility to work occasional evening and weekend hours
