Northern Arizona University (NAU) is hiring a new Theatre Technical Director, Sr., to serve as the primary director of the scene shop, facilities manager, and department technical director. This position supervises the scene shop, and its associated budgets, and assures the delivery of successful productions within the Department of Theatre. This position also teaches one core curriculum course,TH123Stagecraft and the related lab TH113, with the potential to teach more advanced courses.
Minimum Qualifications include undergraduate degree in relevant field and three to five years of direct experience. Preferred qualifications are BA or MFA in Theatre with an emphasis in Technical Theatre, experience working in university Theatre programs, experience teaching theatre courses at the college/university level and demonstrated commitment to a general studies based theatrical education and first-generation student experience and success, commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in curriculum, recruitment, production on a college campus and in their profession through DEIJ training and an interest in representing diverse voices of the global majority in all aspects (classroom and production) of the curriculum.
NAU requires a satisfactory criminal background check, employment history verification along with degree verification. The anticipated salary starts at $53,769 annually and is FLSA exempt.
