Celebrate Rig Safe Day 2025 with Rigging Resources
April 16, 2025
Join USITT today in recognizing #RigSafe day! While Arbor Day is typically a holiday focused on planting trees to celebrate their importance, an “arbor” in the technical theatre world is a rack containing weights used to balance a load in a counterweight rigging system. We recognize Arbor Day as a day to celebrate rigging safety and training for everyone in our industry. Use Arbor Day to thank a rigger, celebrate safe practices, and promote a renewed commitment to safety.
Below is a list of rigging resources that may assist you in utilizing safe rigging practices, learning new skills, brushing up on fundamentals, and more. Let these resources serve as a reminder that safe rigging affects everyone in the industry. Do you have rigging resources you would like to add to this page?
