Illuminating the performing arts with automated luminaires has traditionally been a challenge. The technology required to provide the desired lighting levels, colour quality and remote positioning usually creates unwanted noise from fans, mechanical colour mixing modules and other components, making their use in carefully designed acoustical venues less than ideal. The Fuze Teatro has addressed these concerns with a fanless design and soundless colour mixing system that makes it ideal for noise-sensitive environments. The convection-cooled system ensures absolute silence and because less dust and other particles are not being distributed throughout the luminaire, it results in lower maintenance and a longer product life.

The Fuze Teatro is the first fanless automated luminaire incorporating an additive colour engine, which further reduces noise levels compared to conventional CMY systems. The 480W homogenised RGBMA LED array with CRI of 92 offers outstanding colour rendering capability, calibrated white points and a full-spectrum colour gamut from soft pastels to intense primaries. The carefully tuned LEDs ensure accurate colour reproduction and dynamic whites from 2400 to 8500K while delivering a powerful output of up to 15,000 lumens out of a large 140mm front aperture. The RGBMA LED array is the same colour mixing system as found in other Elation Fuze and KL series fixtures for a perfect colour match.  

The extraordinary advantage for this class of silent fixture is the Teatro’s complete lack of any mechanics, as all colour is created through the LED array. In addition to the noiseless operation, the need for cleaning and maintenance of a complex colour mixing system has been removed. The Teatro also premixes all colours in its engine, removing unwanted colour shifts and artifacts on gobo images or framing cuts. Never before has such a precise and refined colour system been available in a convection-cooled fixture design. 

Virtual colour temperature, magenta/green adjustment plus CMY or RGB emulation provide the designer with immediate access to the impressive LED colour array. The fixture’s enhanced optical design and lens coatings ensure precise and razor-sharp projections, removing all unwanted colour shifting and aberrations in all zoom, focus or framing positions.

Available on the Fuze Teatro is Elation's new and advanced ColourTune technology. ColourTune allows for the selection of the highest output, highest fidelity or a blend of the two by varying CCT and colour settings. This flexibility ensures that users can adapt the lighting output according to their specific needs, whether they prioritise brightness or colour accuracy. Additionally, an output balance selection of bright and uniform allows for the balancing of colour tone across multiple fixture models that share Elation’s full-spectrum LED engine. Includes 16-bit CCT control, dim-to-warm emulation, white point adjustment, and the ability to seamlessly fade between two virtual swatch book colour selections and ColourTune technology offers a comprehensive suite of features, ensuring adaptability and colour precision for the highest quality lighting designs.

Ideal for theatre and broadcast use, the Fuze Teatro will blend seamlessly in any application where a silent, fully automated framing fixture with an outstanding and compelling colour range and quality is required. Catering to a wide range of applications, Teatro integrates a remote control that allows users to choose the most optimal operation of the fixture. Silent mode reduces all remaining motor speeds (such as zoom, framing or position) to make the fixture as quiet as possible, even when operating all of its features. In performance mode, all internal effects are controlled at their optimal speeds, while still staying quiet and refined. The designer can easily change the fixture’s behaviour at any time, optimising it for the needs of the performance and finding the best balance of silent operation and dynamic effects. The elimination of unwanted noise also provides greater flexibility in placement options.

A wide zoom range from 7° to 50° allows for expansive washes of gorgeous colour or zoom tight to project a powerful, tangible shaft of narrow light. A full blackout framing system provides full control of the beam shape when required. Dual rotating gobo wheels, animation wheel, dual frosts, dual prisms, iris and high-speed electronic shutter and strobe round out its comprehensive feature set in this quiet and extremely powerful automated framing fixture.
