USITT sends a big congratulations to lighting designer and 2006 Rising Star Award winner Justin Townsend on winning Best Lighting Design in a Musical at the 74th Annual Tony Awards for his work on Moulin Rouge! The Musical.

This is his first Tony award win and his fourth nomination overall. Justin was previously nominated for his work on The Humans and American Psycho.
