Lucille Lortel Nominations Announced

The nominations are in for this season's Lucille Lortel Awards. Named after the legendary producer and theatre owner, the awards honor achievement in the Off-Broadway theatre scene. The design nominations include:

Leading the nominations overall, with six apiece, are Drag: The Musical, about a vendetta between two drag queens running rival nightclubs; Our Class, a historical drama about antisemitism in Poland across the twentieth century; and Three Houses, a trio of musical tales about life during COVID lockdown. Earning give nominations are the Holocaust drama Here There are Blueberries; Liberation, about a 1970s-era women's consciousness-raising group; Sumo, a drama set in the Japanese wrestling world; and The Big Gay Jamboree, a satire of musical theatre. Shows with four nominations include Medea Re-Versed, a hip-hop telling of the Greek tragedy, and the romantic comedy Table 17.
