1. Why did you become a Member?

I joined USITT to connect with other theater professionals and learn new tech theater skills. I especially want to make sure I'm at the forefront of emerging theater technologies and share my love for theater with others!
 

2. How did you get started in the industry?

I grew up seeing shows at theaters around St. Louis and it did not occur to me until I was in high school that theater is something I could pursue professionally. I have not looked back since!
 

3. What's your most memorable industry experience so far?

Taking a technical training program at The Muny in St. Louis.

 

4. Why are you passionate about the live entertainment industry?

Live entertainment is a beautiful medium in which to connect people, share stories, and get feedback in real time. I love working with a dedicated team for a common goal and sharing art with the world.

 

5. What's your favorite piece of equipment to work with?

Pars

 

6. What's your "artist's mission statement?"

I want to showcase and facilitate community by uplifting and celebrating artists.

 

7. What advice do you live by?

Don't be afraid to ask for help. So much of the industry is learning by doing, so there is no shame in advocating for yourself.
 

8. What inspires your work?

Knowing that theater is a living, ever-changing art form that can have positive impacts on people's lives and leave them with a greater sense of community.

 

9. Who would you most like to connect with?

I would love to connect with technical directors.

Budget for tech week meals the month or meal prep so you always have food!
