As part of USITT’s 65th Anniversary, we’re starting a new tradition that aims to showcase the work of our Members and create an exciting new USITT collectible! Introducing the USITT Poster Design Contest, a competition that gives our Members the opportunity to stretch their artistic muscles and design a poster for our Annual Conference & Stage Expo. The winning design will be featured at USITT25 and sold as a collectible in our USITT Bookstore, with a portion of the proceeds going to a USITT Donation Fund of the winner’s choice. The selected artist will be featured alongside their work, and receive a special USITT prize package! 

This year's design must be inspired by the host city of our 65th Annual Conference & Stage Expo: Columbus, OH. We encourage artists to keep USITT’s tagline, “Powering Live Entertainment” in mind!

Design submissions are accepted until Oct. 11 with our winner being notified on Dec. 1! See our competition rules, guidelines, and more details about the grand prize below! Please see our brand guide for colors, logos, and more.

Contest Rules and Guidelines:

• The submitting artist must be a Member of USITT
• One entry is allowed per person
• No designs that incorporate AI will be accepted
• Designs must not be used for any other purpose

Design Requirements:

• Design must incorporate our signature USITT red (outside of logo usage)
• Design must include our USITT25 Columbus Logo (logo may not be modified in any way)
• Design should represent our host city of Columbus
• Design must incorporate the dates and location of our Annual Conference & Stage Expo
• Designs must be 18”x 24”; PDF files only (we will only accept digital submissions)
• All images must be embedded 
• Must be at least 300 dpi or more
• Must include bleed if design requires bleed
• Design must include the artist’s signature
• All text must be outlined

The Selected Artist Will Receive:

• A free copy of the poster
• A free year of Membership (Individual Membership categories only)
• A $100 Visa Gift card
• A USITT swag box
• A feature in The Current newsletter, on our official social media channels (IG, FB, and TikTok), and our USITT website
• Featured signage at USITT25 in Columbus
• Winner’s choice of which USITT Donation Fund receives a portion of the poster’s proceeds
